Scarlett O’Hara House
🌸One of the hidden gems in Beacon Hill you’ll see on a PhotoWalks tour is the Scarlett O’Hara house. At first glance, it looks like a charming little cottage. But, it’s a “trompe l’oeil” as they say in French.
Truth be told, the “house” was painted to mask a brick wall and bookended by townhouses. Does it look like a miniature version of a Greek Revival sprawling southern mansion from the 1940 classic movie Gone With the Wind? Hardly. But, it’s still a great find in Beacon Hill.
Three steps lead to a small porch with two separate townhouses. In 2018, one of the townhouses was on the market.Â
