Once upon a time, I worked as a travel agent. I had a fabulous time traveling around the world and taking pictures of just about anything that represented a destination's culture. My globetrotting days came to an end when I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming an entrepreneur. Great. Now what?
One day I was walking in the Boston Common, camera at my side. Clicking here and there, I thought, this city has so many photo opportunities that probably go unnoticed. All of a sudden, inspiration struck! I can start a business that provides historic commentary and creative photography tips on a walking tour of Boston. And that's how PhotoWalks began--with an idea and a passion.
That day in the park changed my life. I had no idea where my entrepreneurial dream was going to take me and prepared myself for an adventurous journey. On May 1, 2002, PhotoWalks was launched with only two tours. Five photo tours are offered today. In 2005, Random House published my book, Boston in Photographs. In 2012, the 10th anniversary of PhotoWalks, Photo Scavenger Hunts have been added for fun urban adventures around the city of Boston! In 2013, Photo Worshops have been added to the calendar of events.
The PhotoWalks concept has received rave reviews and extensive media coverage. Each year I have many new and memorable experiences. My greatest joy is meeting so many wonderful people from all over the world. We meet as strangers and bond after walking around Boston for less than two hours.
As a professional photographer with over 15 years of experience, I want to share my knowledge and teach you to become a better observer through photography while on a sightseeting tour of historic Boston.
Thank you for visiting the PhotoWalks website. Hope to see you on tour!
